Audacious has a pen in d'Albora Nelson Bay Marina since 2021 and had an extensive refit 3 years ago. Generously priced reluctant sale due to owners poor health. Sensible offers considered.
She has full flybridge and cabin hydraulic helm stations. Very dry cabin with no musty smells has helm seating, galley, dining table, forward berth, plus ensuite shower and toilet. Flybridge has new bimini and clears (2025) plus new UHF (2026). Instruments include Raymarine Pro Dragonfly-7 with new Navionics chart chip and new hi chirp thru hull transducer (2026) plus older fully functioning Furono Sounder. Large aft entertaining and fishing deck with new canopy (2025). 4 new batteries in 2026. Audacious has solar charging and has never been on marina shore power.
I had Audacious in Sydney and brought her up to Nelson Bay when I retired in 2021 and commissioned Danny Frizzel of Black Marlin Marine to undertake a full refurbishment of running gear. Engines out power train rebuild late 2022 followed a year later by progressive below deck refit in 2023/4. The list includes - Heads sent away, tested and rebuilt. Manifolds, risers and entire exhaust system to transom flaps replaced including beautiful custom made stainless Ys (will never rust). New Holleys, new fuel pumps and all fuel filters and hoses etc, heat exchangers, lines, hoses, water tank, most skin fittings, top quality shaft seals, props Xrayed, thru to a new loo (for the daughter in law). Latest Club Marine full out of water survey and photos Oct 2025 available on request. There are numerous photos of the rebuild and new parts which totalled well over $30,000. The projects were a retirement labour of love and I wasn't expecting to be in poor health so soon. Serious offers can be introduced to Danny and the other tradesmen as well as d'Albora Manager and the Boatyard Manager Nelson Bay.
Following the refit at 2,390 hrs the newly rebuilt twin Mercruiser 228 GMs breathe extra well. My fuel log at d'Albora since Feb 2023 shows 1,774 lt for 94 running hrs. She used 25 lt/hr trolling on the shelf on voyage up from Port Hacking in 2021 and uses about the same offshore following whales etc round the islands. I'm no fisherman so she doesn't ever get pushed hard. Top speed 24 kts, Cruise +/-15 kts at 2,750 revs, which is me offshore. Slow/trolling cruise 8-12 kts at 1,250-1,750 revs which is me inshore and is most of the engine time. Note she runs on very efficient new heat exchangers but heat exchangers do get hot in sustained running over 3,000 revs /15-20kts, which I never do other than maybe a burst across the bar. They recover very quickly when revs are reduced to 2,750. If a buyer wants to chase game fish offshore I recommend auxiliary radiators mounted near the bilge blowers.
If you are a serious buyer message me with an offer and I'll put you in touch with Danny for Q & A, sea trials, etc.
