This 1983 Bertram 35 Flybridge with its very rare Mark1 hull, was built here in Melbourne at International Marine.
Since then it has had approximately 4 owners with the current owner embarking on a major project to restore her to her full glory.
Anyone who knows the Bertram 35 hull knows that it is an awesome seakeeping weapon, built for being out there amongst the elements.
Some of her features include:
Mastercabin with v-berth (refurbished)
Twin portside cabin (refurbished)
Electric toilet with separate shower (new toilet + black water system)
Hard top with four sided clears (all new with hard top built by International Marine)
6.5kva Onan Genset - (Original and still works)
Saloon - (restored and refurbished - with all new cushions, carpet, curtains etc but retaining the original seats and table)
Galley - (restored and refurbished - with new microwave and fridge installed but all cabinets remain original)
Cockpit helm - (restored so that most of it is still is original)
Flybridge - (restored and refurbished - with new cushions, flooring and helm stations but original seats and helm equipment)
Twin Volvo250hp turbo diesels - partially rebuilt and restored. These are her original engines.
Wiring - over the years there had been various electrical repairs done to Eagle III. So, in the end she had old and new wiring all tangled together. This wiring was extracted and all new wiring installed with a new bonding system set up to protect her.
Although she is being sold - what we are really looking for is her next custodian. The person who will continue to use her and maintain her so she continues on for the next 40 years.
As part of the restoration project a photo & video record was kept of the work that was undertaken. From this a Youtube series was created (although it has not yet been finished).

This series will give you a full understanding of where Eagle III started and where she is now.
This is truly a rare opportunity to purchase such a well-cared for and restored boat. The current owner has spent over $450,000 on her restoration between 2019 - 2021. Boats like this do not come along very often and the first serious 35 Bertram buyer to view this will buy it.
