Bertram Yachts are synonymous with performance blue water cruising luxury boats and they have been manufacturing since the 70's. 'Bahama' was delivered new into western Australia back in 1978, on the same ship in fact that carried a 42 and 46 Bertram for a couple of local Perth businessmen.

These boats have stood the test of time, sure they are ageing but I always say you can tell the quality of a boat by the way they carry their age.

I'm always happy to sell an aft cabin boat as I believe they are actually perfect for our local boating, particularly now that everyone has a RIB enabling them
to scoot around the islands or back and forth from the mainland. The aft cab mothership can sit happily on a mooring or at anchor waiting to provide the comforts of home after a big day out on the water.

When I was a young lad, this particular 46 was an icon, one of the larger luxury boats to cruise our local waters. Featuring three cabins, two bathrooms and big 8V71 Detroit diesels, she still packs a punch!! A 240V genset powers washing machines, airconditioning, hot water systems, electric stoves, ovens, eutectic fridges and more.

Sure, she needs more love but for someone who is a bit handy and prepared to fix things along the way, there is nothing stopping you from stepping aboard 'Bahama' and heading to the island for a month.

I have a file full of receipts including those covering an engine rebuild, exhaust manifold replacements and heat exchanger service.
