The LaBelle 44, specifically, is essentially the same as the Marine Trader 40 Labelle with a cockpit addition, sometimes referred to as the LaBelle 44 Cockpit MY. It's known for its spacious layout, reliable performance, and ability to be used for both long-range cruising and as a liveaboard.
Mechanically, electrically and electronically this MV is in good nick. Cosmetically she needs some love. But at this price she would make the perfect liveaboard for the gent who needs a home at an affordable price. OR you could spend some money and time and bring her back as a great family cruiser. Slipped and antifouled Nov 2024. Just been cleaned in and out.
Built for Marine Trader by Bestway Marine, the LaBelle 44 was a popular model for several years due to her low price, distinctive styling, and an appealing teak interior. The LaBelle 44 rides on a solid fiberglass modified-V hull with modest transom deadrise and a deep, prop-protecting keel. A lower helm was standard, and the master stateroom is big. So too is the full-width aft deck--indeed, it's one of the largest to be found on any 40+-foot motoryacht. Additional features include wide side decks, a sliding deck access door, hardtop, teak decks, and radar arch. Among several engine options the LaBelle 44 cruises at an easy 10 knots and reach a top speed of around 14 knots. .
