This pocket cruiser was optimised by the current owner for a 2000K journey down the Murray River from Yarrawonga in NSW to the mouth at the Coorong in SA. River Rat is set up for comfortable extended cruising with pressure water, solar, refrigeration, LED lighting and separate enclosed head in the bow.
The Spray Dodger allows for standing headroom in the galley and compaionway. The boom awning provides excellent all weather cover.
The complete sailing rig has been stored for the last nine years and is included in the sale.
The trailer is in good condition, all new tyres and two spare wheels, bearing buddies complete the package.
It has done two return trips to Melbourne one to Adelaide and has just returned from Sydney after a Hawkesbury River and Pitwater cruise, without issue.
River Rat, as featured in Cruising Helmsman, is powered by a 2014 Honda 4stroke low pitched propeller, spare prop included, and gives an economical cruising speed of 5kts.
The motor sits in a welll and has an enclosed engine box which doubles as an cockpit table.
