Description: Chamberlin 10.0 Power Cat Launched in 2005. Economical cruising at its best.
Built to be a blue water cruiser by John Hammond to a Robin Chamberlin design of strip plank Cedar, fibreglassed inside and out and finished in 2 pack polyurethane white. Just off the slips and ready for new owners to enjoy. Powered by twin shaft driven 50hp Nanni diesels with only 880 hours use and with a displacement of only 4 tonnes, a cruising speed of 10 knots is easily obtained using only 10 litres/hour. Top speed 14 knots. Fuel capacity is 1300 litres and water 700 litres so this boat has the ability to stay out for a considerable length of time and a great cruising range. With autopilot, GPS, radar, fishfinder and log, cruising in comfort is easy.
With a beam of 5.70 metres, "Split Enz" has the room of a 40 footer with great stability, a spacious, well equipped upstairs galley, 2 queen sized cabins forward and room for extra berths in the saloon. There's plenty of space in the covered cockpit too with open transom steps and easy access to the dinghy on davits. Highly recommended. Well found power cats like this are hard to find.
