'Nampara' is a classic 1979 Sedan Cruiser, designed by Geert Doornbos and built by his son, renowned boat builder Gary Doornbos on the Gold Coast. The quality of build is evident throughout with exceptional joinery and quality timbers.
The hull is planked with Spotted Gum below the waterline, and Hoop Pine top sides. The wheelhouse is built with solid Burmese Teak.
'Nampara' has an exceptionally roomy and practical internal design providing comfort and usability for the whole family. The combined galley and saloon area features ample seating, large windows, a drop leaf dining table, plenty of storage and bench space.
The forward cabin area is open plan and airy with sleeping arrangements for four people, a bunk and a v-berth. A real draw card for this boat is the extra large bathroom, with a new electric flush toilet and ample room to move around and get changed in. Adjacent to the head is a large walk in storage cupboard.
The interior is all in original condition.
The covered cockpit is roomy with a bench seat which doubles as a storage box. There is a transom door leading to the extra large full width duckboard making it easy for water access.
Nampara is easily and efficently driven by her 80hp Ford Lees Deisel engine that has been recently completely rebuilt. The gearbox is a 2-1 reduction BorgWarner.
