CUSTOM CARAVELLE AUSTRALIAN MADE  

TAYLOR 820 (26') Trailer able Cuddy Cab O'Night Cruiser - 8'-2"BEAM.
This 2013/328hrs boat is the culmination of 25 years of considered fibreglass boat manufacture and repairs by Geoff Taylor of TAYLOR MADE FIBERGLASS PRODUCTS.
The USA produced Caravelle mold to build this boat, was imported by a Sydney based company that suffered fire damage before they were able to produce any hulls from it. There were very few people able to restore the now damaged boat mold - and Geoff was one of the few. The result, Geoff repaired the mold and made & kept the second hull out of it, this resulted in his previous boat subsequently sold to build a better craft, all of his experience and passion for his trade is exercised in this unique craft. As time passed, Geoff wound up keeping the mold & using his experience & skill with fibreglass, designed an improved version, stretching the mold to add almost 4' (or 1.2M) to the now 26' length and increasing the cabin space plus the addition of a molded anchor bow sprit, increasing the overall length further. To this was added the totally enclosed cuddy cabin, no canvas covers here, plus extended transom board to give more useful space. Look further and you will find unique design inclusions like an enclosed sealed head with hot/cold bathing facilities, a genuine double bed, closable cabin, folding dual helm seat with 2 burner stove and refrigeration box incorporated beneath. Further consideration was spent on the boat power plant, the Mercruiser 350MAG 5.7L engine has been deliberately matched to a Bravo 3 Seacore Commercial Duty, Mercruiser drive leg designed for extended service. The end result is a boat with unique features, stellar performance character with this engine/leg combination. The boat has had all service & maintenance requirements since it hit the water, and has been stored out of the water after a complete fresh water flush after each use. The electric/hydraulic disc braked, 4 wheeled trailer, has just had new discs fitted along with a wheel bearing service so nothing required - just a new owner to enjoy!
