How long have you owned the houseboat any past history? 20 months.
5 x 5000mm x 275mm x 50mm redgum planks for the next slipping are kept at home and will form part of the sale. Several Doord and windows from the sleeping cabin that was removed are included. 20 aluminium sheets to renew some of the roof lining are included (0.6mm x 2400mm x 1200mm size)

History
1926: Purchased by Permewan Wright & Co;
renamed registered as P. S. Barham (No. 153911).
1932: Sawmill (incl. Ranger) sold by public auction; new owner of Ranger unknown.
1942: Five friends bought derelict Ranger at Mildura;
repaired and steamed to Murray Bridge for major rebuilding.
Used for evangelistic purposes, especially preaching to Aboriginal communities, until 1945.
Sold to Lou L'Hotelier, who purchased for Euston/Robinvale Lock construction/maintenance.
Steam engine removed; used as a "houseboat base" for workers.
1961: Derelict again, purchased by the Collins Bros (Bill & Norm), who were from a well known and long-standing riverboat family.
Name reverts back to Ranger
Registration closed in 1962.
Shifted back to Mildura;
replanked, refitted for luxury fishing & shooting.
relaunched in 1987
Bill Collins maintained it until his death in 1989; Norm had passed in 1982. Ranger was the last paddle steamer owned by the Collins family, ending an unbroken period of boat ownership of almost exactly a century.
1990: Purchased by David & Sandra Fitton; brought back to Echuca.
Restoration continued and a single cylinder 7 HP Marshall & sons of Gainsborough portable typ steam engine.
Registered as a commercial vessel for tourist charters with 25 passenger capacity.
Short charter career due to lack of commercial mooring facilities, she was then used privately by the Fitton family until sold.
June 2007: At Echuca Steam Rally, Ranger went to auction, being purchased by Geoff & Betty Buzza for use as a private vessel. The Buzzas made several upgrades to the boat, enclosing the rear deck & improving the bathroom facilities.
January 2025: sold to Mac Murray or Echuca for use as a private vessel. The vessel has been stripped back to a more basic conf in preparation for some renewal work and a focus on using it for shorter day trips.
