IMPULSE is a 38f timber cruiser built by David Linton in 1984 At Crowdy Head. Hull is a round bilged form, mahogony below water line with fully splined seams and qld maple above. Above water line was completely repainted two years ago and last anti foul below water line was October last year at Polaris Marine in Harwood.
The vessel is fitted with a Gardener 6LW 76.8kw or 103hp six cylinder diesel engine with approx. 3700 hours. Cruising at a very fuel efficient 1ltr per nautical mile. The engine is swinging a 1016mm fixed pitch three blade propeller on a 69.8mm stainless steel shaft. This is coupled to a twin disc gearbox with a 2.91:1 reduction ratio. Fuel capacity is 800ltrs stainless steel tanks and water capacity is also 800ltr stainless steel tanks. Steering is hydraulic.
Solar sytem fitted approx. Four years ago with 2x 375w solar panels powering 4x 6v trojan batteries and 2x brand new start batteries. 2500w inverter. Engine also has 100amp altinator.
New Garmin Depth Sounder Fish Finder recently installed. Navman VHF TMQ-AP4 Auto Pilot is fitted.
Hydraulic winch with both bruce and sand anchors with 80 mtrs of 10mm gal chain (regalvanised two years ago)
Custom made stainless steel stabiliser's have been fitted for comfy cruising and steady at anchor.
Impulse has both gas hot water and electric and 12v toilet. Sleeps 4 comfortably. Basic Galley and saloon.
Impulse is a beautifuly crafted vessel and recieves many comments. Perfectly suited for long distance cruising as well as weekend get aways including estuary with a draft of 1.5mtrs. Would also suit a live aboard.
