DORAL ELEGANTE - CHECK OUT THE REAR ENTERTAINING SPACE!  

The Doral Elegante is a sport cruiser with a difference. The Canadian designers were definitely thinking outside the mainstream when they put pen to paper on this model. Her layout is somewhat unique featuring double dining areas outside and again downstairs in the main saloon.

Her rear entertaining deck is one level from the helm to the integrated swimboard, unusual for this style of boat. There is a lot of seating but placed in a way that it does not impede upon access in or out of the cabin. The helm chair easily accommodates two adults. The chair bolster lifts enabling either sit down or stand up driving options. She rides very level so no need to stand if you don't want to.

Behind the helm is a wetbar with another fridge beneath. Along both port and starboard sides of the rear deck are two lounges with seating for eight to ten guests with a central walkway between them. At the press of a button on the dash each lounge raises to reveal the engine room - a dream for the mechanics working on this boat. There is also plenty of room under the bonnet to get around the main engines and genset.

The Doral Elegant would make a perfect boat for cruising around the Mandurah canals but I have to say, after getting behind the helm for the photo shoot, I'd be very comfortable cruising down the coast or over to Rottnest in most conditions. She is a very dry ride and handles beautifully.

The foredeck can be accessed by stepping onto carefully designed mouldings on the transom and up onto the catwalks, or alternatively flipping open a break in the front windscreen near the helm straight up to the front deck. Two adjustable and permanently mounted sunlounges are the perfect location for relaxing and reading a book or taking in the view on those balmy summer days.

One of the many outstanding features of the Doral Elegante is her swimboard - its massive! It puts you really close to the water, great for the kids to muck about on under a brolly during the day and winding down with a cocktail on a deck chair watching the sunset in the evenings.

If you're considering purchasing a sport cruiser like a Mustang, Sunrunner, Sea Ray, Four Winns or similar, the unique layout of the Doral Elegant should also be in the mix as it offers in many cases so much more. I rate the Doral as a quality build and this one has been looked after impeccably.
