This very well presented Glacier Bay has been optioned with nearly every option possible, Cruise in comfort It has been set up for extended stays & coastal cruising with every comfort. It is well powered by 2 x 250 Hp Yamaha ( 214hrs repowered in 2013 ) giving 30 knots WOT with a comfortable 22 knots cruise. Glacier Bay main objective in designing a boat is to try to provide the smoothest, driest ride with as little boat motion as possible. They have foam-filled rails at the chine trap water energy as it tries to ride up the hull sides to deflect spray and dampen roll moment. This even increases fuel economy up to 8 percent and provides lift for better handling, tracking and buoyancy.
The Glacier 3070 has been designed with the family in and is a very well set out multipurpose layout. For a 30 ft boat you cannot help but notice the size of the cabin. Belowdecks, you'll find a true king-size bed forward. The forward berth also hides an additional lower bunk for a child. There is a good size dinette a usable galley unit, folding table, elec stove and sink, Norcold fridge/freezer the list goes on. The saloon is fully lockable so perfect to keep in a marina. There is also a full size toilet and shower with hotwater. It is big enough to cruise the coast but still small enough & easy enough for a couple to manage.
The Isle Runner measures 9.7m overall with a 3.25 m beam. They have been built to last with no structural wood anywhere onboard. Hulls are hand laid with continuous strand fibreglass matting. Sealed bulkheads with 4 watertight compartments.
Above the waterline is a combination of more advanced composite glassed construction, Airex high-density foam core and uni-directional matting for a stiff and resilient structure. All joints are hand-taped and glassed, and hull and decks are bonded and sealed using a super strong Plexus adhesive. No timber !
These are a perfect boat for a large family or entertaining friends. Perfect for weekends at Tangalooma or trip up to 1770. There are 2 massive rear deck storage hatches, a large center rear platform with a 5 rung dive ladder, large open Saloon, separate cabin, toiet/ shower area plus the upstairs dinette.
