Alexander Marine Australia/Grand Banks Yachts Queensland is proud to present the 2000 Grand Banks 42 Europa 'Sequoia' to the Market.
'Sequoia' is a rare Naiad stabilized Grand Banks 42 Europa. Classic features of this hugely popular motor yacht (around 1500 were built over the life of this model) include a pilothouse saloon, distinctive bulwarks, and a forward trunk cabin, with bridge overhangs defining the model.
On the aft deck, lazarette access is via twin hatches with deep gutters and gas-assisted rams which open up this space, where plenty of storage is available - along with convenient access to the rudders and steering ram. Forward of this is another access hatch, also guttered and gas-assisted, allowing access to a mechanical area for water pumps and other systems. Within this space are twin Waceo fridge/freezers handy for longer voyages - a bulkhead separates this space from the engine room and this configuration allows the maintenance team to reach mechanical gear without having to track through the boat's interior. The flybridge, accessible by stairs (not a ladder as per the early GB42's) is complete with a full helm station with dual helm seats. Passenger seating encompasses a spacious L -shaped lounge, plus a back-to-back seating module - all of which provide ample room for entertaining. Aft of the flybridge is dedicated for tender stowage with an electric davit used for tender launch and retrieval.
The interior is typical Grand Banks, richly finished in varnished teak to an industry leading standard of workmanship. The master cabin is forward, with a queen-size island berth and an adjacent head compartment with a shower. The second stateroom, amidships, is laid out with a double bed with ample storage. The U-shaped galley is up and conveniently includes a 3 burner cooktop with an oven and dual drawer refrigerator. Interior dining and entertaining will take place around the drop-leaf table & comfortable L-shaped lounge. 'Sequoia' features a parquetry sole throughout the interior of the boat.
Her walk-around decks make boating a safe and enjoyable pastime for people of all ages. Yet another outstanding feature of this impressive vessel.
Below the waterline, the 42 Europa is a semi-displacement hull with a full keel and protected propellers. Twin Cummins 370-hp diesel power plants that deliver 8 to 12-knot cruising speeds.
Inspection by appointment is welcomed and encouraged. Now lying at our dock ready for inspection.
