Grand Banks 55 Eastbay SX "Timeless"

Timeless is a 2009 Grand Banks 55 Eastbay SX, built by Grand Banks Yachts to a Ray Hunt Associates design. The specification records an overall length of 18.24 m, a 4.97 m beam and 1.48 m draft, with GRP construction and teak-laid decks.

Twin MTU Series 60 diesel engines rated at 825 hp each have approximately 1,225 hours recorded per engine. Cruising speed is listed as 18-25 knots, with a maximum of approximately 33 knots. Side-Power bow and stern thrusters, hydraulic steering and Twin Disc electronic controls assist manoeuvring. An Onan 13.5 kVA generator and MasterVolt 3000 W inverter support onboard electrical needs.

Accommodation comprises two double cabins and an additional single berth, sleeping five, with two Dometic toilets, two showers and Dometic air conditioning throughout. The U-shaped saloon galley is to port/aft, with a Miele four-element electric cooktop, Miele microwave, 130 L galley refrigeration and two Isotherm 130 L units in the companionway. An HRO 700 watermaker and Isotherm hot-water system are fitted.

Features include a hydraulic hi/lo swim platform, custom full-cockpit structural hardtop, centreline glass sunroof, teak-laid cockpit, side decks and foredeck, and a Stidd helm seat. Garmin navigation equipment includes dual 20-inch MFDs, sounder, GPS, AIS, autopilot and radar.

An AB 3.2 m RIB with Yamaha 15 hp outboard is complemented by a Davco 500 kg davit. Ground tackle comprises a 45 kg Ultra stainless-steel anchor, Maxwell windlass and 80 m of 10 mm galvanised chain.
