Alexander Marine are pleased to present the 2003 Grand Banks 64 Aleutian RP 'Sea Ranger' to the market as worldwide central agents.
Grand Banks have long been synonymous with quality craftsmanship, offshore capability, and timeless design, and the 64 Aleutian Raised Pilothouse model is no exception. Renowned naval architect Tom Fexas was commissioned to develop the naval architecture for this highly regarded model, and the result is a superb bluewater vessel that is equally at home navigating remote coastlines or entertaining at anchor. Known for their classic lines and exceptional seakeeping abilities, Grand Banks yachts like 'Sea Ranger' are cherished by experienced mariners worldwide for their luxurious interiors and reliable offshore performance.
Stepping aboard via the teak-laid swim platform, you immediately appreciate the thoughtful design. Dual entries on either side off the swim platform lead you up into the expansive cockpit, or alternatively, you can board through the midship side gates to port and starboard, with a Passerelle located on the port side for added convenience. The cockpit feels very much like an extension of the main saloon, creating a perfect alfresco entertaining zone. A large high-gloss teak dining table sits aft, complemented by a built-in lounge perfect for a crowd. Add a few deck chairs and the space transforms into an entertainer's dream, whether you're hosting a casual afternoon barbecue or a sunset cocktail party.
Entering the saloon through the sliding doors, you're greeted with over 6 feet, 5 inches of headroom and an immediate sense of space and light, thanks to her expansive windows. The traditional Burmese teak woodwork, running from ceiling to floor, creates an elegant, inviting ambience. A curved lounge in the port-forward corner surrounds a teak hi/lo convertible dining table, the perfect setting for relaxed conversation or a casual meal. Opposite, two comfortable single-seaters offer the ideal vantage point for taking in the ever-changing views. Practical touches like a hi/lo TV that emerges at the touch of a button to starboard, ensure that entertainment is at your fingertips.
Four steps up lead you to the pilothouse level, where the well-appointed U-shaped galley awaits to port. A chef's delight, the galley features Corian countertops, abundant storage, and unblemished teak cabinetry. Equipped with an under-counter fridge, Miele four-element cooktop and oven, Miele microwave and a Miele dishwasher, this space ensures preparing meals is a joy, not a chore. Adjacent to the galley, you'll find an additional under-counter fridge and freezer, along with a dedicated ice maker. Large windows infuse the area with natural light and keep the boat fresh with ventilation.
Forward of the galley, the pilothouse helm station is a captain's paradise, boasting dual Furuno Navnet displays and Caterpillar engine instrumentation for total navigational control. The signature Grand Banks teak ship's wheel, paired with a plush Stidd helm chair, gives an authentic nautical feel. To port, a high-perched leather lounge offers guests a commanding view of the journey ahead while keeping the skipper company.
Descending the starboard staircase from the pilothouse brings you to the stylish accommodations. Turning aft, you arrive at the full-beam owner's stateroom, an impressive space made possible by the boat's generous 6m beam. A king-size island berth, twin bedside tables, settee, abundant storage, and a flat-screen TV make this suite a true retreat. There's a cedar-lined walk-in wardrobe to starboard and a private ensuite to port, featuring Corian countertops and an oversized separate shower, all adding to the luxury feel.
The forward VIP stateroom provides guests with a queen-size berth under a large overhead hatch, ideal for natural light by day and stargazing by night. A mirrored bedhead enhances the sense of space, while a TV, ample storage, and a private ensuite with teak cabinetry and Corian counters ensure guests feel thoroughly pampered.
To port, a third guest cabin features side-by-side berths, its own private ensuite, and stylish soft furnishings. This cabin shares access to the VIP bathroom, doubling as a day head for visitors. She is also set up with an aft crew cabin featuring two single bunks and a wet head with a toilet.
Accessed via an internal staircase from the pilothouse or via the cockpit ladder, the flybridge is another highlight. Protected by a GRP hardtop and clear enclosures, this spacious area offers two large L-shaped lounges set around matching teak lattice tables. A wet bar with a Miele barbeque grill is close at hand for effortless entertaining, while panoramic views make this an unforgettable place to enjoy sundowners. A Caribe 3.7m Centre Console RIB is stowed aft and easily launched with her Aritex 600kg davit. The flybridge helm station, with twin Stidd chairs and comprehensive electronics, offers commanding visibility for cruising in style.
The engine room is accessible either via a hatch in the molded cockpit seating or through a door in the master ensuite, reflecting the smart, practical Grand Banks design. Housing the powerful twin Caterpillar 3406E engines, 'Sea Ranger' can reach speeds approaching 20 knots when needed but is happiest cruising at a relaxed 10 knots - aided by Trac hydraulic fin stabilisers for supreme comfort. Twin Onan 22.5 KW generators cater to onboard power needs, keeping the air-conditioning humming and ensuring the Sea Fresh water maker supports extended cruising.
'Sea Ranger' features Grand Banks' signature walkaround decks with sturdy handrails and the protective Portuguese bridge ensures safe, secure movement around the boat in all conditions. Designed to venture far and wide, 'Sea Ranger' is a distinguished vessel perfectly suited for exploring the spectacular coasts globally.
