Hand-built in 1971 by master shipwright Cec Quilkey AOM, the man behind Mercedes III, Love & War and Koomooloo, commissioned personally for the Managing Director of GM Detroit Australia. Triple diagonal 3½" Tasmanian Oregon planking. Original core samples on board. Provenance like this simply does not come to market.
In 2001, Quilkey consulted directly on a 3ft hull extension and flybridge removal, converting her into the clean sedan layout she carries today. The result preserved every original line while delivering a far more liveable vessel.
Twin GM Detroit Diesel 8V53 V8s, 285HP each, naturally aspirated, approximately 1,900 hours, always professionally serviced. Approximately 14 knots cruise.
She has been continuously upgraded rather than left to age. 2023 brought a full galley refit, new genset, new Raymarine autopilot and GPS, and new hot water system. March 2025 saw a full haul out at The BoatWorks, new swim platform, and new remote-controlled electric dinghy davit system. A new Advance Marine full storm cover and clears package was fitted May 2025. A brand new Waterways compliant head was fitted February 2026. New carpet throughout 2025.
2 cabins, sleeps 4. Enclosed lower helm. Large aft salon. Approx 1,000L fuel and 1,000L fresh water. Redback 3.1m R. I. B. Tender with 6hp Honda four stroke included.
