Halvorsen 58 Motor Yacht

Halvorsen 58 Motor Yacht | Salacia IV

If you are searching for a big-volume, long-range motor cruiser with timeless style, strong capability and generous onboard comfort, Salacia IV is a Halvorsen 58 that deserves serious consideration.

Designed by Harvey Halvorsen and built by Halvorsen Marine Ltd, this 58-foot motor yacht offers the space, stability and practicality expected from a true bluewater-style cruiser. With her wide 6.096m beam, fibreglass decks, classic teak interior furnishings and well-planned accommodation layout, she is ideally suited to extended coastal cruising, liveaboard use or relaxed family entertaining.

From the moment you step aboard, Salacia IV presents as a substantial and comfortable motor yacht. The main deck offers an open and inviting flow from the lower helm through to the galley, dining and saloon areas, then out to the aft deck. Large opening windows, bi-fold doors, side-deck access to port and starboard, and an aft deck protected by clears create an excellent all-weather entertaining and living space. Air conditioning throughout further enhances comfort onboard.

The saloon galley is well equipped for extended time away, featuring Eutectic refrigeration, a U-Line ice maker, a Bianco stove, a hot water system, and excellent water capacity with three tanks totalling 2,200 litres. A water maker is also fitted, supporting longer-range cruising and time at anchor.

Accommodation is generous and practical, with three cabins, three showers and three electric toilets. The full-width aft master stateroom includes an ensuite, while guests are well catered for with a midship guest cabin with an ensuite and a forward guest cabin with a separate shower and toilet. Berthing includes 4 singles and 2 queens, making the vessel suitable for families, guests, or extended cruising.

Powered by twin 540hp Caterpillar 3406B diesel engines with approximately 4,468 hours, Salacia IV cruises comfortably at around 10 knots at 1,500rpm, with a maximum speed of approximately 13 knots at 2,200rpm. With shaft drives, 6,200+ litres of diesel capacity across four tanks, hydraulic stabilisers, at-rest flopper stoppers, a bow & stern thruster, twin generators, and a robust electrical system, she is set up as a capable and comfortable long-range motor yacht.

The machinery and electrical package is extensive, including 2 x Onan generators, Heart Link 2000 inverter, 12 storage batteries, 3 x Mastervolt battery chargers, shore power, and 12v, 24v and 240v systems. Navigation and electronics include ICOM and GME VHF radios, Furuno FCV 1100L depth sounder, Furuno GP32 GPS, Furuno GP500, Furuno radar, Coursemaster autopilot, Simrad combi log, Simrad windspeed, Plastimo Offshore compasses, Raymarine rudder angle indicator and Floscan fuel meters.

On deck, Salacia IV is fitted with practical cruising equipment including a Davco 24v crane on the flybridge, high low lifting duckboard, Excel anchor, Muir Thor windlass, Muir chain counter, bimini over the flybridge, aft deck clears, windscreen covers and shade cloth flybridge deck cover.

With her generous interior volume, long-range capability, strong equipment list, at-anchor comfort features, and classic Halvorsen pedigree, Salacia IV offers a compelling opportunity for buyers seeking a serious motor yacht with space, comfort, and proven cruising ability.
