Hartley 28 Live-aboard Half-cabin Cruiser

"KISMET" This unique vessel has been rebuilt from the gunwale up, maintaining the stunning shape of her step-chine ply/epoxy hull, and launched afresh in 2019. Kismet is full of light and space, with top-notch fittings and furnishings, and some quirky features such as wood carvings and antique brass port-holes. Sleeps 4 comfortably and designed for holidays onboard. Every piece of timer onboard has been epoxy soaked, and all ply has been sheathed in at least one layer of double-bias fibreglass cloth with epoxy. Professional Norglass used on all painted surfaces. Absolutely sound timber throughout. Bilge is dry, but fully fitted with emergency bilge pump system. No mould or mildew. A Volvo Penta 5.0 GXiG V8 350Hp engine powers a sterndrive leg with duo prop to easily lift this 3.3 tonne boat up on the plane. Motor has been rebuilt and fully maintained. Works with first key turn every time! Corrosion controlled with a diligently used QL Neutra Salt flush system. Two Refurbished 90L Stainless Steel fuel tanks, with new hoses, are housed beneath the back deck. Electrical systems have been completely re-fitted by a professional marine electrician. A large 250W solar panel serves a deep-cell house battery and 2 engine batteries. The cabin is securely lockable with a unique aluminium mini-roller door. New stainless bow rail fitted in 2022. A new fresh water tank is housed under the V-berth and serves the sink tap and back deck tap. Kismet's anchoring system is heavy duty: a Super Sarca (#5) anchor, an RC8-8 Maxwell Winch with helm and remote control, 40m gal chain and 50 m nylon rode, and a SS bow sprit (value $4,000 new). Inclusions: Lowrance HDS-9 Carbon Touchscreen Sounder; Lowrance transducer; GME marine radio; Dometic CFX 100W fridge/freezer; Dometic portaloo; 2-burner stainless steel gas cooker; Custom made water-tight bimini; custom-made cushions/mattress with high-quality foam throughout (in pristine condition); fenders and ropes; all required safety equipment. Comes with dingy & oars as shown in pics. Hull launched originally in 1981. Re-make completed in 2019.

Remarks
This gorgeous boat is much loved and has been kept in beautiful condition. We are immensely proud of the re-design and remake we have done, which the official survey states is to a 'professional standard. ' She is only being sold because changes in our lifestyle mean she is not being used as often as she should be.
Survey and photo gallery of her re-make are available on request to serious potential buyers.
