"Privateer" is a fast and robust offshore vessel (20 knots service speed, 30 knots top speed), constructed for speed and durability. It was first commissioned as a commercial cray boat, demonstrating its capacity for demanding marine operations. Operational History During its commercial life, the vessel was in 2C survey, including fishing charters (6 passengers plus 2 crew). This vessel could be refitted and returned to commercial/charter use. In 2008,"Privateer" was acquired by a Port Phillip Bay yacht club as the primary start boat and rescue vessel for keel boat races.
