Up for sale is my late 70's/early 80'S Huntsman with the sought after reverse chine and deep V. I have owned this vessal for over 12 years and I have performed two rebuilds on it.
Starting on the custom built hard top, the boat comes with a Garmin Radome, custom stainless steel rocket launchers, new Hella Marine Seahawk light bar, Hella marine cockpit flood lights, new custom built clears, new custom built windscreen, Reelax outriggers and Reelax wishbone outrigger bases, new Pacific stainless steel VHF aerial mount and aerial
Moving into the cockpit and helm, new professional wiring throughout the boat, Icom VHF radio, and quality GME marine speakers coupled with a standard car stereo which suited me. There is 1 x 210 litre custom alloy fuel tank, 1 x 40 litre stainless steel sub fuel tank, 35 litre stainless steel freshwater tank, freshwater shower, Saltwater deck wash, plumbed custom live bait/kill tank, 2 x new BlueTop optima batteries that offer dual cycle operation. There is two new seats and bases on custom fibreglass frames that allow eskies or equipment to slide under.
The electronics package is the earlier model 750 and 750S Garmin equipment that I installed on the original build and whilst I am still using it without any trouble it is due for an upgrade. Any new Garmin equipment will marry with the Radome. The transducer is a brand new AirMAr P66.
Within the cabin I have installed a new 100 amp hour lithium house battery, fabricated a section that fits an Engle fridge, installed a new Lonestar GX3 anchor winch, and installed a new pilot hatch through to the bow and new windows on the side. New cushions have been built for the V berth.
The power unit is a 2009 Yamaha 150hp four stroke with 2200 hours on the meter. The motor is in excellent condition and I am proud of the maintenance regime that has been kept up on it. 100 hour services have never been missed, always flushed and salt has never been allowed to accumulate under the cowling. With the recent relaunch I threw some money at the motor to ensure it was fresh, going into the next phase. Proactive maintenance tasks included the lower unit gear box was inspected and has had a seal kit put through it, and a new pinion gear (scoring found on a fin), there was minor weeping on the trim tilt system so I have installed a near new complete trim tilt unit. All new block anodes throughout, all water jackets throughout the power head cleaned and fresh gaskets; no corrosion issues found. New timing belt and tensioner pulley installed 100 hours ago. The steering system is a new bullhorn hydrive system. New digital gauges have been installed at the helm. New control cables and throttle control box has been installed.
Regarding the hull, the boat has received a full composite hull extension with a new composite transom, all professionally built. The cabin floor was replaced. Whilst the floor was opened all of the stringers were checked and no issues were present, I laid more glass over the stringers for extra insurance into the future. The cockpit floor was replaced on my first rebuild 10 years ago and it is still solid. There is fresh flow coat throughout the deck and cabin of the boat and the exterior has received a polyurethane 2 pac respray. All products used are of the highest marine grade quality.
The boat is trailered on a galvanised Swiftco electric over hydraulic trailer that is 12 months old. The trailer was coated in fish oil from new has been washed to exacting standards every trip, even inside the RHS box!
The boat is a fisherman's boat built by a fisherman; a pocket rocket offshore fishing weapon that I question why I'm moving it on. However, I am partaking in longer multiday trips and travelling further offshore therefore I am moving into a larger boat. The layout is designed to provide a suitable amount of comfort for a multiday trip, but is built to be easily hosed out clean after the big jobs. I have tried to make everything easily serviceable and provided pathways for further device installation. The boat is in a state that can be reconfigured reasonably easily to suit the next owner's needs.
I'm happy to assist with transport or inspections and sea trials can be accommodated upon deposit.
