Alexander Marine's global yacht acquisitions & superyachts division are pleased to present the 2009/2023 Inace 36m Explorer 'Zulu' to the market.
Recently inspected by one of our Australian-based Superyacht Executives, 'Zulu' represents a unique offering: a true world-cruising explorer yacht with timeless lines, substantial recent upgrades, and an interior suited to both family cruising and high-end charter. She is a sought-after charter yacht showing a solid return for her short annual charter season.
Built in steel with an aluminium superstructure and extended in 2014 to 36.1 metres, 'Zulu' is every inch the capable bluewater voyager, but it's her relaxed elegance and practical onboard living that set her apart. From the moment you step aboard the spacious teak-laid main deck aft, you're met with an atmosphere of barefoot luxury. The round custom marble dining table comfortably seats eight, shaded by biminis, with loungers, a bar, fridge, and icemaker just steps away. It's a space designed for slow lunches, sea breezes, and sunset toasts.
Descending three wide steps to the extended swim platform, guests find one of the yacht's most versatile spaces. Fitted with loungers and umbrellas, this beach club-level area connects you directly to the ocean. The Opacmare Transformer Swim Platform, capable of lifting 1,200kg, makes tender boarding effortless and allows for easy access to the water, be it for diving, paddleboarding, or launching the Sea-Doo jet ski.
From the aft deck, the main saloon opens up from the picture windows, offering generous natural light and a fresh, modern design aesthetic. Plush club chairs and sofas sit atop wool-silk carpets, while a formal dining table for eight anchors the space. To port, the galley is exceptionally well appointed, spacious, bright, and designed for service. With commercial-grade appliances including twin Liebherr fridge/freezers, professional dishwashers, and induction cooktops, the galley offers all the functionality required for extended cruising or high-end charter.
Forward on the main deck, the full-beam master stateroom provides a peaceful retreat. The king-size bed is set on centreline with views across the water, while a large ensuite bathroom features a Jacuzzi bath, bidet, and marble finishes throughout. Hanging wardrobes and a work desk complete the owner's quarters, which are finished in cream tones and warm wood detailing.
From the main staircase, the lower deck reveals further guest accommodation, comfortably sleeping up to nine additional guests. The midship VIP suite features a king-size bed, large wardrobe, flat-screen TV, and a marble-clad ensuite bathroom with Jacuzzi tub. A queen double cabin lies to starboard, with its own ensuite, while a twin guest cabin offers side-by-side berths and a Pullman for a third guest. Forward again is a charming bunk cabin, a favourite among younger guests, which doubles as a nanny or overflow cabin when required. Each space is individually styled, yet cohesive in tone and finish, creating a calm and understated onboard experience.
Ascending to the bridge deck, the full-beam skylounge offers panoramic views through oversized windows. A plush corner settee and hi/lo TV provide a comfortable setting for movie nights or morning reading, while the bar forward keeps refreshments close at hand. Full-beam concertina doors open to an expansive aft terrace, where a marble dining table for up to 18 awaits. With an outdoor grill, sun loungers, and easy access down to the main deck or up to the sun deck, this is one of the yacht's most magnetic gathering points, equally suited to alfresco dinners, sundowners, or long, leisurely afternoons at anchor.
At the very top level, the sun deck delivers yet another retreat. A six-person Jacuzzi is framed by sun pads and teak decking, with a wet bar, icemaker, and refrigeration all close by. This space is open, private, and supremely comfortable, an idyllic place to soak in the surroundings underway or at rest.
'Zulu' is powered by twin 716hp Caterpillar C18 engines, cruising at 11 knots and consuming just 70 litres per hour at 8 knots. With a transoceanic range of 5,200 nautical miles, she is truly designed to go the distance. ABT-TRAC zero-speed stabilisers ensure a smooth experience, whether crossing oceans or resting in remote anchorages. Her technical systems have been significantly upgraded across recent refits, including new navigation equipment, generator overhauls, stabiliser servicing, new AV and Wi-Fi systems, and full electrical updates. Over EUR1 million was invested in 'Zulu' during 2022 and 2023, including a full hull respray in Awlgrip Michigan Blue, new upholstery, biminis, carpets, and numerous mechanical upgrades. Further to these works she has only just been relaunched following extensive 2025 mechanical works, including generator replacements and a complete overhaul of her main engines at Monaco Marine in Beaulieu. She is now offered in true turn-key condition!
For those with an adventurous spirit, her toy inventory is equally impressive. A 9.9m Seawater Phantom 300 RIB with twin Mercury Verado 350s is joined by a Sea-Doo jet ski, dive gear, inflatable paddleboards, wakeboards, skis, an electric surfboard, and towables, ideal for days exploring hidden lagoons or coral reefs. A crew of up to seven are housed in three cabins, including a dedicated engineer's cabin, with a full commercial laundry, crew mess, and galley to support operations.
'Zulu' is a rare offering: a vessel of strength, character, and presence, refitted with precision and styled for those who value both capability and comfort. Whether bound for the islands of Fiji, the fjords of New Zealand, or the distant shores of Southeast Asia, she is ready to take you further than you've ever dreamed.
You are invited to contact Martin Hills to discuss your interest in this yacht further. If you are unable to travel to inspect this vessel, we would be pleased to offer you a personal guided video tour via telephone.
