J. H Whereat. Moreton Bay Cruiser - 41ft

ARDATH

One of Australia's rarest classics, Ardath is now up for sale. This iconic vessel built in 1920 by J. H Whereat in Brisbane and has recently been inducted into the covenant list of the Australian Register of Historic Vessels.

Ardath is a beautifully maintained Gaff rigged Moreton Bay Cruiser and icon of the area. Her spotted gum and NZ Kauri offers both strength and elegance. It's 41ft Loa combined with the unmistakable reliability of the 120hp Perkins Sabre 6 cylinder engine allows it glide through the waters with ease. With a 12.5' beam and 4,2" draft, she provides excellent stability and generous space, making her ideal for comfortable cruising. Lowrance electronics at the helm ensures a smooth and safe voyage, blending modern reliability with classic charm.

Over the years, Ardath has been meticulously maintained and thoughtfully upgraded. From her jet powered bow thruster to the original butterfly hatch every element has been carefully considered for both practicality and beauty. It's history has been well documented and images over the years have been preserved, from starting vessel in the Brisbane to Gladstone race, occupied by the US navy during the war as well as being used in many films. It's true classic lines and design have allowed it to be enjoyed and admired for many years and far into the future.
.
Ardath is a proven and capable vessel, ready for her next custodian. Whether you're a seasoned yachtsman, a collector, or someone who appreciates classic design, Ardath offers a rare opportunity to own a true piece of maritime history.
