As the famous boat reviewer Mike Brown once wrote " LeisureCat have never built a luxury boat, practical and effective better describe their products " and we certainly cannot disagree with that statement with this example of the 10m Kingfisher model with its extended full length hard top and additional rear lounges the 10m Kingfisher has the serious offshore fishing credentials with the ability to have a comfortable sleep in the oversized forward cabin. Teamed with a Port side separate head compartment and a galley installed to the Cockpits Starboard side this really does have the market cornered in a 30 plus foot twin hulled boating package.

Heading out through the heads of Mandurah on our way to Port Geographe with the sun just poking its head up for the day was one of those special feelings in boating, no one around, almost dead calm, just my father and father in law with me at the helm effortlessly cruising at 20 knots for 3400 rpm. The boat was doing it easy and we settled in for an amazing trip South. Turned on the Garmin touch screen GPS, split the screen to sounder / GPS and pointed the big cat in the right direction. Three hours later we turned into Port Geographe Marina after a short bust at WOT topping out at 33 knots. This is an amazing boat !

If you are a fisherman you will love the deck space and there is plenty of it, the padded side coamings for those long days at sea, the two huge underfloor kills tanks, Salt and fresh water wash downs, awesome access through the transom between the two Suzuki 300 Hp four strokes, the EVA decking under foot feels amazing, overhead Stainless Steel railings for the long trip home from the fads, plenty of coaming storage and the extended rear lounges with removable table for a break from the fishing with a sandwich in hand. As a long time scuba diver this would have been an outstanding dive boat for the family and friends at Rotto or further North.

For the family looking for their next great weekend away this will have you covered nicely with a large starboard side galley installation with Stainless draw fridge, cooker, sink, preparation area and storage, extended rear lounges doubling the normal seating available on the 10m Kingfisher and adding two berths to the equation, twin table inserts, plenty of overhead shade, a full set of drop down covers to enclose the Cockpit at night and a huge forward cabin with a separate head facility allowing you to stand upright utilising the Vee of the Port side hull.

Comfortably powered by a pair of Suzuki 300 Hp outboards ( most packages in this model run the 250 Hp ) with digital shift dual binnacle controls on a press button electronic start panel she kicks into life with ease. All engine management through a pair of Suzuki digital engine management gauges for an uncluttered helm area leaving room for a second screen if needed. Sitting on 20 knots at about 3400 rpm economy is fantastic at just 26lt/hr, open the boat up to its max at about 33 knots for an amzing 80 lt/hr. Thats outstanding economy in anyones book.
