This incredible engineering masterpiece, created by renowned Australian catamaran builder, Lightwave Yachts, is being offered for sale for the first time since being custom built for the original owners in 2009.
Originally powered with 260hp aside, and offering speeds up to 25 knots, the Lightwave 47 Motor Sailer features a radical underwater hull design that delivers exceptional performance under high power whilst being able to provide adequate performance under sail. Receiving many accolades when originally launched, it was described as the absolute epitome of a genuine cruising motor sailer.
The vessel was originally set up with long range cruising in mind. The layout caters for a crowd with generous lounging and dining areas in both the saloon and cockpit areas. There are three cabins - a privatized port side Masters Hull with Queen bed aft and large bathroom forward; an ensuite queen Guest cabin, and an aft queen cabin port side. The popular mid galley layout features house-size refrigeration, a hob-top stove, a wall oven, convection microwave oven, generous bench space, & plenty of storage provision. A lavish feature is the spa area up on deck which is great to use in stinger season or when there are sharks & crocodiles about.
Owing to unfortunate circumstances, the vessel is being sold as a going concern, as is, where is, and is currently located at Magnetic Island, North Queensland Australia.
