Mangusta 72

2002 Mangusta 72

Mangusta builds one kind of boat. Fast, Italian, and unmistakable. Coco is one of a handful of Mangustas in the Southern Hemisphere that come with a strong reputation. Purchased on the French Riviera and brought to Australia by her current owners, who have cruised her as a family boat for over a decade.

She is not a boat that has sat in a marina. She has been used, enjoyed, and well maintained by people who understand what they own.

The hardtop and semi-enclosed saloon keep the main deck usable in any conditions, social, sheltered, and open to the water when you want it to be. Two large sunbathing areas fore and aft offer generous space for guests in all conditions. The helm is open and well-positioned, and the aft garage opens hydraulically to access a full-size tender and water toys.

Below decks, three cabins each have private ensuites, including his and hers in the master. Italian leather and woodwork throughout remain in excellent original condition. All cabins connect to the central entertainment system.

Powered by Twin MAN 1500hp engines coupled to Arneson surface drives deliver a top speed of over 40 knots, serious performance for a yacht of this size, with a comfortable cruising speed of 20-30 knots

Coco has been well looked after with documentation of maintenance. Like any vessel used and enjoyed over time, there are a handful of items the next owner may wish to attend to, an out-of-water service is due, a few minor cosmetic gelcoat repairs, rear sunbed teak is would benefit a replacement, and the navigation electronics and cabin TVs are original and present an opportunity to upgrade to current specification. The passarelle electronics need attention but have not been required for the way she's been used.

None of these are structural concerns. All are reflected in the asking price.
