The Markline 900 is a well-proven Australian and New Zealand family flybridge cruiser, offering an excellent balance of cruising capability, accommodation and practical boating space without stepping into the size and expense of a larger vessel.
This 1989 Markline 900 presents a very practical package for someone looking for a capable weekend cruiser, fishing boat or family getaway vessel. With a single Hyundai S250S diesel driving an inboard stern drive, she offers a straightforward layout with good access around the boat and plenty of usable space for entertaining, relaxing and overnight stays.
At 9 metres, the Markline 900 is large enough to provide genuine cruising accommodation while remaining a manageable size for owners wanting to explore Moreton Bay, the islands and waterways around South East Queensland.
COMFORTABLE ACCOMMODATION
The accommodation is arranged around a forward cabin with a double berth and good storage, while the main saloon provides additional sleeping accommodation.
The saloon couch and dining area can be configured to provide additional berths, allowing the vessel to sleep up to six, depending on configuration.
The enclosed head incorporates a shower, while the galley is equipped with a large in-bench 12V chest refrigerator that the owner describes as very effective and spacious.
The existing built-in gas system has been disabled and a portable gas cooker is supplied instead, providing a simple cooking solution without a permanently installed gas system.
All interior cushions have been recovered, giving the interior a freshened appearance.
There is also an additional bed stored ashore which can be fitted above the saloon couch to create another berth. This has retained its older upholstery as it has not been used by the current owner.
OUTDOOR LIVING & FLYBRIDGE
The Markline 900's flybridge provides an elevated helm and additional space to enjoy the boat underway or at anchor, while the aft cockpit gives plenty of practical room for fishing, entertaining and enjoying time on the water.
The aft awning and bimini were completely renewed approximately 18 months ago, including the stainless-steel frame work, by Rod at East Coast Trimming.
A bow cover is also supplied and is currently stored inside the vessel.
The combination of the flybridge, covered aft area and generous cockpit makes the Markline 900 a versatile platform for Queensland conditions and year-round use.

The current contract is paid through to 1 April 2027 and will be transferred to the new owner at no additional cost.
The current annual cost of the arrangement is approximately $6,180 per year. For the new owner, this provides an immediate and convenient way to store and use the vessel without having to arrange and pay for a new hardstand agreement immediately after purchase.
A MARKLINE WITH A PROVEN LAYOUT
The Markline 900 has become a recognised classic among the mid-sized flybridge cruisers of its era. Examples of the model continue to appear on the Australian market, with the layout commonly featuring a forward cabin, convertible saloon accommodation, generous cockpit and flybridge.
The appeal of the 900 is its practical size. At around 9 metres, it offers many of the features buyers look for in a larger cruiser while remaining considerably more manageable for private ownership.
This particular vessel adds some worthwhile recent improvements, including new canvas and stainless framework, recovered interior cushions, a new Garmin navigation system, three recently replaced batteries and an included hardstand arrangement through to April 2027.
