"Lucille" a Millkraft timber boat with a classic sharpie bay cruiser design.
Built in 1946 in Brisbane by Ted Mills as a prototype, the first boat built by his boat building company Millkraft Boat Builders. Lucille, named after Ted's daughter, stayed in the family until 1987.
In 1988, Lucille was refurbished with the engine rebuilt and keel fibreglassed to waterline.
Over the years, Lucille has been lovingly cared for and restored by each of her 7 custodians., including replacing the engine in 1996. Many receipts have been kept.
Lucille is currently moored in Goolwa near her current owners.
After a couple of years of exploring the lower river, and 2 Wooden Boat festivals, the current owners would now like to explore Van Life.
