Description: Nordhavn 40
Nordhavn 40 Mark II "Passepartout" is an Australian Registered Ship, fully imported into Australia with all Taxes and Duties fully paid. She is currently berthed in Auckland New Zealand, having made the Tasman crossing without a hitch. She is hull #68 of a total of 69 N40's built to date. She is therefore the newest build N40 Mark II to be offered for sale, with only 475 hours on her main engine. The N40 Mark II is quite a remarkable boat, apart from offering a huge amount of space with excellent interior design and the feel of a 'little ship', a sistership N40 has also made the record books as being the smallest production power boat to circumnavigate the globe in 26 weeks. Every decade or so a yacht is designed that is extraordinarily successful by all measures. The Nordhavn 40 is one such yacht. Proportions are wonderfully pleasing, while at the same time highly functional. Aesthetic attraction is universal, performance is exemplary, and the ideal balance between subjective and objective qualities is achieved. One design having all of these characteristics is rare, and it invariably becomes a classic by which others are measured. In the highly specialized world of oceangoing, recreational power vessels, the Nordhavn 40 has achieved the legendary status of a modern day classic. Born from the driving passion of the founders of Pacific Asian Enterprises, P. A. E., the N40 was from the very beginning a design that broke the marketing and styling rules of the day. From the very beginning, the Nordhavn 40 has stood out from all other "trawler yachts. '' There is nothing in comparable size on the market that could compare with its offshore ability, economical operation and luxurious accommodations.

"MV Passepartout" is the penultimate N40 to be built so far, making her the latest model ever to appear on the pre-owned market. She has been outfitted with all of the most practical factory options, and tastefully decorated by her owners, who were closely involved throughout the building process. It is difficult to imagine that a nicer Nordhavn 40 could be made available. She presents as new, but with the added advantage of being fully blue-water ready with all her systems 'dialled in'. Many important features and equipment have been upgraded from standard, providing her next owner with reliable, trouble free operation for years to come.

Just had a full wax and shine August 2016.

If you are interested in owning a Nordhavn 40 which presents as new, has low hours and has been nicely run-in, then please contact the Central Listing Agent Peter Devers for more information or to arrange an inspection.
