My Supa Star is a beautiful, spacious and practical long range cruising vessel for living aboard and/or entertaining family and friends. She has proven herself to be a very safe, comfortable, economic and reliable vessel having cruised extensively throughout SE Asia and up and down the Western and East Coasts of Australia. Engaging the stabilizers when steaming through large Indian Ocean swells or the tidal affected waters of the Pacific Ocean / South China Sea has made passages comfortable and allowed the crew to take advantage of many more weather windows than those available to other similar vessels. She has sophisticated equipment, including effective bow and stern thrusters and a Dockmate Remote Controller that adds to the enjoyment and safety of operating the vessel whilst shorthanded.

Description:

My Supa Star is a North Pacific 49 with a reverse rake pilothouse and trawler style design which gives the motor yacht its bold go-anywhere appearance. The planked look embedded in the fibreglass adds to the character and classic style. There is no wood on the outside, only stainless steel and fibreglass which makes for easy exterior maintenance.

The vessel was launched in Hong Kong and cruised extensively throughout SE Asia by her first owner. The 2nd and current owner purchased the vessel in Langkawi, Malaysia in 2019 and cruised through Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia before returning to Fremantle during Covid. Since leaving Fremantle in March 2023, the vessel has cruised the Western Coast, Kimberley, Northern Australia and the East Coast of Australia.

My Supa Star is well maintained and was relaunched on 11th November 2025 after spending three weeks on the hard for the annual maintenance.

The hard chine hull provides great stability and economy at low-end speeds, whilst providing lift to allow for higher top-end speeds with the larger Cummins QSC8.3 500hp engine installed. The keel allows the vessel to track well with a large rudder, that along with the shaft and propeller, is fully protected. The Bow and Stern Thrusters, the Dockmate Wireless Docking System (controls engine, windlass, bow and stern thrusters with a remote hand-held controller), give manoeuvrability to make docking easy. My Supa Star is equipped with Wesmar Active Fin Stabilisers which have proven to be very effective whilst making long blue water passages in a wide variety of offshore conditions. The Wesmar AuxiliaryPropulsion Unit (ie. Get home propulsion system) is run by 13.5KVa Cummins/Onan Generator.

The hull is solid hand-laid fibreglass, making it both strong and relatively heavy, adding to the stability. The superstructure is made of fibreglass and cored mostly with a lightweight synthetic honeycomb material, increasing stability.

Access to the flybridge/upper deck is gained via steps on both sides of the pilothouse and a ladder from the rear cockpit. The upper deck provides great visibility to operate the vessel and is a very spacious area in which to comfortably relax and entertain. The hardtop, clears and shade covers provide great weather protection. The 2nd (3.1mtr aluminium) tender is stored at the rear of the upper deck and is easily launched with the hydraulic/electric davit crane.

The swim platform is accessed from the fully covered cockpit. The 1st (3.3mtr RIB) tender housed on the swim platform is easily launched with the stainless steel davit frame that carries two bifacial solar panels atop.

The pilothouse provides excellent visibility and comfort to operate the vessel, making the longest passages pleasurable even when short-handed. The pilothouse lounge pulls out to make an additional berth for use when making overnight passages or to accommodate additional guests. An air conditioning unit services the pilothouse.

Supa Star boasts a very spacious full beam salon with large safety glass windows providing for panoramic views. The galley is well equipped to facilitate long-term cruising and comfortably living aboard. Two air conditioning units service the salon / galley.

The forward Master Stateroom is very spacious with a queen walk around bed, lots of cabinet storage and high ceilings. The ensuite bathroom is well ventilated and provides for a basin, fresh water flushed toilet and separate shower stall. An air conditioning unit services the master stateroom with a separate handler for the other two cabins.

The Guest Stateroom located amidships provides a queen bed with storage cabinets. The 2nd bathroom is located directly opposite the gueststateroom. It is well ventilated and provides for a basin, fresh water flushed toilet and separate shower stall.

The Guest Bunkroom is located on the portside between the Master Stateroom and the Guest Stateroom. It provides for two large bunks (745mm wide at right angles to each other) with storage cabinets.
