Description: Precision 43 Patrol *** EX POLICE PATROL BOAT ***
Ex Police Patrol boat Cygnet iv built by Precision Marine and launched in 1982 has spent the majority of her life up and down the Western Australian coasts before being slipped up North where she sat for four years before the current owners saw a classic WA boat begging to be back in service. Some elbow grease and patience were required to see her back at her best and heading down the coast to Mangles Bay where she has been happily cruising around Cockburn sound and Rotto before heading to Mandurah where she current resides.

Diving, fishing, surfing, and paddle boarding all have ample space on the back deck with a twin transom door directly off the oversized swim platfrorm swinging open allowing the largest of payloads to be dragged aboard. Set up correctly you could probably winch a jet ski straight into the deck ! Custom dive tank tank lockers port and starboard will keep the tanks from rolling all over the deck and the below deck space in the lazarette is a sight to see. Unlike many older boats in the market it lacks the musty old boat smells so commonly noted below decks.

Cygnet iv is commercially built in every way with some modern touches to soften the look for a family boat with a Port side leather lounge with timber dinette rescued from a Caribbean taking pride of place in the expansive Saloon. Comfortable and luxurious it was worth every cent in the current owners eyes. A Starboard side custom galley has replaced the designated works area of a commercial patrol boat and now allows a significant preparation areas, ample lockers and an upright fridge to take pride of place opposite the lounge. An amazing amount of head room for the tall amongst us and with a second lower station if the weather is really nasty completes the Saloon.

Centrally located the companionway takes two steps down and back in the day would have been a very agricultural area of the boat designed for sleeping and little else. The current owners have converted the forward 4 bunk layout into a full width queen sized berth freshly carpeted and with plenty of lockers on hand. This is a berth I can stretch out on very comfortably. A second queen sized berth at the base of the companionway steps to Port offers space for a second couple or the kids with the ability utilise other areas of the boat if required. Sleeping for at least 4 in berths with room for a number of swags in the cockpit when heading on a fishing trip North ! The lower galley has been decommissioned and left as storage and sink.

Outstanding vision from the helm with all you might need right at hand. She still has that serious commercial feel and hopefully will never loose it as a part of WA boating heritage. A pleasure to drive and fairly easy to berth with the additional weight of a commercial building aiding to hold against the wind on the day we had her out. Powered by a pair of Cat 3208 commercially rated engines serviced in Nov of 2022 with very few hours since, she turns over easily and slides into gear without to much fuss. There are hours on this boat as you would expect with her commercial life but we wouldnt think that goes against her.

Some recent works :
Upper / Saloon galley installed in teh last few years
1000 wt solar panel system installed, shore power not required
Serviced 2022, only a few hours use since due to work commitments
Anti -fouled April 2022
Prop speed April 2022
Coolers attended to 2020
Start batteries Jan 2023

This is a sold boat in every way and well worth serious consideration if you are in teh market for a family boat along these lines. She may not be pretty in some people eye but she is functional and ready to take you where ever you might like to go...... Give Cygnet iv a new challenge in life, she is ready eager to go..
