"Safari II" is a legend of the Australian circuit with numerous expeditions along the East Coast and annual voyages up the West Coast as far away as the Rowley Shoals back before GPS even existed and a chart and Radar were relied on. This solid, West Australian designed and constructed vessel was substantially upgradedt in 2007 when two new Caterpillar 370Hp diesels were installed along with a new Sea Wasp generator. The engineering is superb and many modern updates are obvious with digital controls, touch screen Garmin electronics and a desal unit for remote island operation. The interior is timeless with rich timber finishes and sleeping for six in two cabins. The galley is very functional with plenty of refrigeration including two cockpit U-Tec systems for freezing the fresh bounty. An Icon of West Aussie waterways, this substantial vessel is ideal for off-shore island exploration and is well setup for future competition with economical and reliable engineering.
