REPOWERED RIVIERA
The Riviera 3850 Open Flybridge is a popular, well-regarded boat model known for its offshore capabilities and comfortable cruising. It features hull design of pedigree shared with the famous Riviera 4000 Offshore. The 3850 was named "Boat of the Year" in 1999 by the Australian Boating Industry Association.
In fact, this is THE one! This 3850 was repowered in 2018 with new Cummins 6BTA (370hp) engines and has been very well maintained since. In fact there has been no expense spared servicing, maintaining, and detailing this fine example of a 40 foot Riviera. Full receipts available upon request.
Items of note include:
- Engines replaced in 2018, now only 531 hours.
- Twin Cummins 6BTA (370hp) with servicing up to date (Sept 2024).
- Onan 7kVA generator with only 1,785 hrs.
- Full cut and polish in Sept 2024.
- Anti-fouled in Sept 2024 including PropSpeed and anodes.
- Modern Raymarine Plotter/Sounder.
- Autopilot.
- Zodiac RIB with Yamaha 8hp Outboard.
- Tender cradle on foredeck and Davco 200 kg davit crane.
- Overall, a very well maintained two-cabin open flybridge.

From the rear cockpit through the saloon and galley to the accommodation down below, the layout of the 3850 offers her owners a spacious, bright and very liveable boat with all the modern conveniences at an affordable cost.
The saloon and galley area is set up for easy entertaining and living aboard on weekends away or even extended holidays afloat. Fully air-conditioned, the sumptious lounge area with large dinette table is the perfect spot for relaxing out of the weather. On beautiful summery days why not set up in the cockpit? Whether you're relaxing with a beverage, fishing or swimming the large cockpit area with synthetic decking is perfect and easy to clean up afterwards.
The open galley itself sports loads of benchspace, storage and amenities. Fitted with a large underbench fridge freezer to compliment the cockpit fridge/freezer and the new ice maker, it also has a microwave and a two-plate Fisher and Paykel cooktop. All your appliances and A/C, including the Cookpit stainless steel barbecue, are supported by the powerful Onan 7kVA generator and the 3000 watt inverter supplied by batteries that are topped-up by the three solar panels on the flybridge hard top. Power for everything!
The penthouse (flybridge) is only a few steps up and offers great views when socialising or just travelling. Protected by the easy-to-maintain hard top and supplementary clears, the flybridge becomes your all-weather observatory. The well equipped helmstation provides great visibility to the stern (and also has a CCTV camera) along with the necessary view forward when underway.
On the foredeck a 200kg davit crane lifts your 3.1m Zodiac to and from its storage cradle with ease. Once in the water this broad foredeck area becomes another great entertaining space and the perfect diving platform!
From the engineering perspective, the engine room space is easy to access for all your daily fluid checks and onging maintenance. The repower completed in 2018 provides you with a sense of reliability from the twin Cummins 6BTA 370 hp diesels, particularly having been well-maintained since then. These engines are responsive and economical when manouvreing and planing. This combined with the offshore bluewater hull design employed in this vessel, you'll really enjoy getting underway.
This Riviera is a great value for money propasition and is ready to sail away, so give us call to arrange a time to view her.
