2004 40' Riviera Platinum Hull No. 172 - Destiny
The Riviera 40 Flybridge drastically improves on its smaller brother, the 37 Flybridge, with a more spacious interior, larger cockpit and great looks! Destiny benefits from a variety of thoughtful upgrades and meticulous upkeep. Positioned as one of Australia's go-to and most iconic recreational flybridge cruisers, the Riviera 40 Flybridge is built by Australians for Australians, with our weather conditions and usages in mind. Perfect for a family or serious offshore fishing platform, this vessel benefits further from its Platinum specification, resulting in a range of upgraded equipment such as the more lavishly appointed interior. As a highly desirable 40 Platinum and with a total length of just over 46ft, Destiny presents as a brilliantly capable flybridge cruiser that can easily entertain family and friends. With a spacious airconditioned saloon with Fusion sound system and new carpet, there's plenty of seating for at least 10 across two L-shape settees, while a varnished timber dinette provides a space for more formal meals also fitted with ice maker and water maker, Otterman and Teak& glass coffee table. The galley sits just two steps down form the main saloon, while still sharing the same airspace and retaining the view out. The galley is well-equipped with a two-burner electric cooktop, large sink, large upright Novacool fridge with separate freezer compartment, a microwave and fantastic storage in the galley and underfloor. The accommodation area is two steps down from the galley, where an elegant hallway leads to the two cabins with new carpet and bathroom. The master cabin benefits from direct access to the bathroom, with dual entries; one from the master and one from the main hallway all beds are fitted with linen, pillows and bedspreads from Sheets Ahoy. The bathroom itself features a Vacuflush toilet, vanity and large separate shower stall. One of the crowning features of Destiny is the enormous aft cockpit. Optioned with a Cookout electric BBQ, a central Polished teak table and excellent storage, it's easy to see how versatile this space can be. Destiny also features a Sidepower bow thruster. The forward bulkhead houses a large, refrigerated chest compartment, plus a sink and access to the engine room. The engine room is impressive, presenting in excellent condition throughout with Seafire fire protection and new batteries. Power comes from a pair of Volvo Penta TAMD 75 P-A 480hp diesels with 1203hrs, providing a relatively economical cruise at 20 knots, using a combined 80L/hr and a 27-knot top-end. 240V power comes from a Cummins Onan 9.5KVa generator in great condition with 2200hrs.
