RIVIERA 41 OPEN FLYBRIDGE - LOW HOURS PLUS EXTENDED SWIMBOARD  Under Contract

The 40 was one of the most successful Riviera models ever produced so how could the company possibly improve on it? Well, they did! In 2007 the Riviera 41 was born. 46ft overall from bow sprit to swim board. An evolution of the 40 with a dozen features either replaced, tweaked or improved to produce a more modern looking, ergonomically comfortable and powerful vessel.

To appreciate the features you need to step aboard and be presented with the changes first hand, the list is big. I spent an hour scooting around offshore in a 25 knot easterly. The 500hp Cummins provide ample power - she leaps out f the water when you plant the throttles. At speed she pushed little water and achieved an easy 30 knots wide open throttle. I found myself easing off on the throttles to stop the cushions and carpet from escaping the flybridge.

My photographer Pole Mokrzycki fell in love with her more modern interior and overall presentation. He is generally a good judge. Apart from the obvious horsepower and they way she jumps to attention when you drop the throttles, I myself found the modern interior decor appealing. Far more open plan and fresher looking compared with her predecessor.

Accommodation consists of a forward master stateroom with private ensuite. A second cabin to starboard features two side by side single berths and another slide out berth above. Unlike the old 40, this later model 41 has a second bathroom - As they say, two heads are better than one!

Her current owners invested in a much larger custom swim platform with stainless steel BBQ rail which dramatically adds to the entertaining space. A couple of deck chairs under a brolly and you have a lovely area close to the water to relax.
