RIVIERA 4700 SPORT YACHT YOUR HIGH PERFORMANCE FLOATING APARTMENT  

When the Riviera 4700 made her debut she was a game changer. All of a sudden the die hard flybridge boat owners were side stepping to the sport style of boating on the basis they were so much more social. The skipper all of a sudden was part of the action rather than being on his own up on the bridge.

The clever introduction of the opening 'Hopper' window combined two entertaining areas into the one, all on the same level - from transom door through to the helm. This was also a great concept and one that continues to please owners of this style of boat.

The submersible swim platform and tender garage were firsts for Riviera in this model as a standard feature enabling owners to hide all of their water toys and tender under cover and out of the way when not in use.

Panoramic views from inside the saloon make the Riviera 4700 a lovely boat to cruise in, even on those colder days you can be out on the water and in the warmth of the cabin.

Hard wearing Amtico interior saloon flooring was another innovation introduced by Riviera around the time of the 4700. Its very low maintenance and does not get damaged by water like the traditional saloon carpet we were all used to.

The galley to starboard as you walk into the saloon enables the chef to be a part of the social scene while also enjoying the vista. Side opening windows and an electric sunroof provide plenty of ventilation.

Accommodation is all forward with a master stateroom and island berth in the bow with a private ensuite. To port is a guest cabin with two single berths which convert to a double. Opposite is a shared bathroom with shower stall. Further forward and to starboard is a bunk bed cabin with two singles berths.

Twin Cummins 705hp shaft drive engines propel Santorini effortlessly to 27 knots. Anything over 18 knots on the 4700 is a good cruising speed.

For those of you who find a flybridge boat a little intimidating, or are trying to get away from steep ladders, then the Riviera 4700 Sport Yacht may be a great option without compromising on space, accommodation or performance.

Note: Santorini is registered at 14m so she will suit a Purple Rottnest Island mooring.
