Riviera M430 Sports Cruiser

This 2003 Riviera M430 Sports Cruiser is a good example of what quality boat Rivieras are built to. This vessel, in particular, is well equipped ready for summer,  and maintained to the hill. The vessel is a spacious family boat that can be used for a week away at the islands or just on the weekend. DP-G helmet steering bushes replaced 2020 Heat exchanges for main engines and genset decalcified 2025 Serviced annually with last full-service 2025 with oil, oil filters, fuel filters (Racors and secondaries), impellers, belts, and coolant flush/replace (also new taps fitted to heat exchanges to allow easier coolant flush). Slipped annually with new gearbox oil and seals every year, new anodes, antifoul and prop speed.

Kohler 6.5EFOZD 5.8kVa 240V genset Also serviced 2025, new oil,  and fuel filters and coolant flush New genset raw water pump en-route (Sherwood version with woodruff keyed removable pulley, rather than original Kohler design which is prone to pulley failure) Genset diesel burn rate: 1.5l/h with both AC units and both fridges running Craftsman 80kgf bow thruster with independent battery (most M430 bow thrusters run off engine batteries, this one has an extra battery with additional isolator under the front bunk). Enerdrive intelligent 3 bank battery charging system (new around 2017). Operates onshore power and genset. Very effective at battery conditioning. The vessel also has an additional 200Ah house battery.

Dual-zone dometic air-conditioning (two compressors, one cooling pump) Note: A/C control units replaced 2020. Tropical boats, so A/C are used often to keep them in good order. New independently powered gas and smoke alarms 80m of 8mm short link anchor cable, 60lb plow anchor (most M430s only have 27lb - this is not enough and marine surveyor recommended larger anchor). Now have 27lb plow and 15lb Danforth as spares.

Tender: 2.6m Island Inflatable air-floor boat. Lightweight and fast to inflate/deflate for transport. When inflated, mounts on stainless transom rail with Ceridi snap davits. EPropulsion Spirit 1.0 Plus Li-ion electric 3hp outboard. 1.5h endurance at ~6 knots, >4h endurance at ~4kts. Easily charged when genset running. Removes the need for carriage of any gasoline or oil onboard the vessel.

Misc: New Avery dark blue metallic wrap (over dark blue Gelcoat) in 2019. Easy to clean with no regular polishing requirement for hull sides.  New front clears 2019. New anodes (drives and bow thruster) and fully antifouled, inc. Prop-speed in Nov 2020. 3x Aqualuma underwater lights (new 2019) Simrad 4G Radar - selectable on either MFD with chart overlay.  This boat is very neat and well maintained. With twin engines, electronic controls, and a bow thruster, it is very easy to handle, even when single-handed. With its 1:4 aspect hull, it has exceptional high-speed performance even in rough conditions, along with great fuel economy for its size. It has a 270+NM high-speed range at 22-24 knots, and over 800NM displacement speed endurance for cruising. This vessel has done many trips between Cairns, Townsville, and the Whitsundays, with regular use and careful maintenance to keep her seaworthy for offshore cruising. No expense has been spared to keep this vessel in top aesthetic and mechanical condition, with state-of-the-art navigation electronics and all the necessary amenities to keep a family comfortable and safe when cruising in remote areas of the Australian coast for several days at a time.

As you walk onboard the Riviera M430 there is a huge cockpit with a U Shaped lounge with a dining table, massive drinks counter with an ice maker, a 12v drinks fridge, also a sink and TV, the helm station is fitted with a comfortable two-person seat with 360-degree vision around the boat. As you walk through to the cabin there is a massive kitchen with an electric cooktop, overhead cupboards, cupboards under the kitchen benchtop plus much more. Also on the other side, you have a U-shaped lounge with a dining table, two spacious cabins one with a walk-around island double bed, the other with a double bed, and also a single. Both cabins have hanging space as well as additional storage cupboards.  

The cabin boasts headroom and volume with an ample amount of opening hatches for a fresh breeze, the bathroom also has an ample amount of head height and a shower and toilet.
