Description: STUNNING SEARLES CONVERTED TIMBER MOTOR CRUISER!
With its impressive history, stunning traditional fitout, and excellent presentation, this 36ft Timber Motor Cruiser really is something special! Built in the mid 60's in Port MacDonald South Australia, it worked as a commercial fishing vessel, complete with a wet well for many years. It was then purchased by the a master shipwright of Searles Boat Yard in Adelaide, where it was lovingly converted into a luxurious and capable Motor Cruiser over many years. Searles have an incredible reputation for building quality timber boats, and the conversion of this vessel has been completed to a true master shipwright standard! The current owner purchased the vessel in Melbourne and steamed it down to Hobart where it has been a much loved local cruiser since 2018. Whether you are looking for a local and coastal capable cruiser, family boat, or even comfortable liveaboard, this is a vessel that ticks all the boxes!
Stepping inside, the attention to detail is simply exceptional. The stunning timber trims are highlighted with clean white finishes, and traditional navy blue upholstery. The wheelhouse provides excellent visibility, and the helm-station is well appointed with quality electronics. To port is the galley featuring a 4 burner stove with oven, stainless steel sink, clever storage, and icebox. Just a few steps down leads to the generous saloon. There is a large dinette to starboard with seating for 6 in comfort on the twin settees. This is a great space to entertaining, or relaxing and watching the large smart TV. Forward are two berths, with the main accommodation being the double (or two singles) in the aft cabin. The package is complete with private bathroom forward with electric toilet and vanity.
Outside, the vessel has spacious walk around decks, and is complete with a furling headsail for motor sailing. Forward there is an electric anchor winch. This vessel is well set up for cruising and there are quality stainless steel davits on the stern for easy use of a dinghy.
This vessel is powered by a Perkins 4 Cylinder 80HP Diesel Engine. This was rebuilt under previous ownership and only has 446hrs on the clock since then. There is excellent access to the engine for easy servicing, and provides easy cruising at 6 to 8 knots.
Sure to turn heads where ever it pulls into port, this stunning vessel will not disappoint on inspection. It is comfortable, versatile, and a capable offshore cruiser. For more information please call Jo Breen on 0432031100 or John Radonic on 0459322862.
