Whittley Sea Legend 630 V6 4.3L MPI 220 Hp version with Alpha leg
A much loved Family owned cruising and fishing vessel needs to be sold.
My wife finds the waves too much and without the children we can now move to a longer vessel.
Obsession has been towed for fishing trips to Thursday Island, Cleveland Bay, back to Gladstone and has performed well in all the seas encountered.
At cruising speed, 22 Kts, the economy remains the same regardless of 7 people onboard or just two. The hull planes early and remains steady.
The trim tabs work but have not been used more than regular maintenance checking.
The electric toilet works well and has rarely been used.
The fully galvanised 3 year old trailer and Hydrastar brake system is compliant to the latest main roads conditions for 3,000 kg towing capacity. Allowing for a boat fully fuelled and loaded vessel with all the camping gear.
The hull is in excellent condition and has been freshly cut and polished to produce that lovely mirror finish.
The Clears and Bimini have aged and been removed for replacement, however, the stainless steel framework remains in excellent condition and ready for new cloth. The price is reduced and reflects the $2,000,000 estimate to replace the bimini cloth.
Spare 3- blade and 4- blade aluminium propellers with 4- blade stainless propellor on the leg.
The lowrance Elite TI 9" screen is NMEA linked to both fuel flow sensor, fuel level, and the side scan sonar head. The built in maps were recently updated and come with marks from Cleveland bay to Thursday island.

Remarks
The Bimini has been removed and the frame remains in place. Age got to the bimini and it is in the process of being replaced. The price is reduced by the estimated replacement cost. If the bimini is replaced before sale the price will increase about $2,000,000.
The leg was removed and fully serviced by certified marine mechanic 2022 and completed 100 hrs since. A 4 blade stainless propellor was installed 2024, with spare aluminium 3- blade and 4- blades.

The engine is serviced every 100 hr. Earlier if a decent fishing trip is planned. Some services were early as 20 hrs in preparation to do some 150 nm of fishing over a few days.
Risers are in good condition with the riser gasket replaced annually. The motor thoroughly flushed with fresh water after each trip and every 2- weeks on the trailer.
Trim tabs activate but not required for my use. Live bait tank is plumbed with its own pump.
The boat has been good to the family with the wife and kids sad to see it go. We are changing it up to a family sail boat and no longer have the time for it.
