Other details I know about the boat / why I'm selling:
- Constructed by McIntyre Marine in 1984 and has historically been used for short-handed racing.
- I purchased the boat to potentially use a short-term liveaboard and use for social racing / cruising however my time is now occupied campaigning a Class Globe 580 to compete in the Mini Globe Race. Need to sell in the asap in order to pay for shipping other boat overseas.
- Current SA Registration until September.
- Engine runs well and recently serviced.
- Boat is in a general good, solid condition that has recently been inspected internally by a shipwright.
- Affordable berthing in its current location available at $275 per month

Items requiring attention / consideration in purchase:
- Alternator recently tested and was working although its old and would potentially look at replacing. Quoted $380
- Fuel shut off pin not retracting so the engine needs to be stopped manually. I purchased a new one but still wasn't retracting so am currently looking into this. Doesn't affect engine use. Exhaust manifold has had a temporary connection fix at some point so would look at replacing / getting a fabrication made at some stage.
- Electrical wiring is generally ok but is becoming dated so if you're looking to do offshore sailing, I would spend some time updating.
- Rigging is approx 10 years old. Backstay needs replacing. Have had a quote for all the rigging parts in March 2024 which was approx $3,900 (not including labour)

Adams 11.9's are known for their great offshore capability and I don't think you will find one at this price anywhere.

That said, offers will be considered for a quick 'as is, where is' hassle free sale.
