The Mottle 33 is a capable Australian designed cruiser-racer, well regarded for its solid construction, performance and surprisingly spacious interior. Joe Adams designed, these versatile yachts are equally at home cruising offshore as they are competing in club races. Renowned for their safety, ease of handling, sailing characteristics, reliability and turn of speed. Well-built and proven over time, the Mottle 33 remains one of the most sought-after boats in its class and many have completed serious Bluewater passages.

Below deck, WW2 has a minimalist and practical layout. This provides a spacious open feel and easy access to systems for routine maintenance without having to remove built-ins like bulkheads and cupboards. This also reduces weight for those interested in a M33 for racing.

I've owned WWII since 2023. I bought her to sail with my young daughters (aged 9 and 10). We've taken her from our home in NW Tasmania around the North, East and SE coasts and we're currently cruising the Furneaux Island group (Bass Strait, Flinders, Cape Barren, Clarke Is etc), and then down to SE again where I plan park her in Kettering for sale.

Needless say, sailing with my young family, safety and reliability are paramount and in my experience Willi Willi 2 is a very safe and dependable boat. She is easily handled, responsive under sail and the Yanmar is as loyal as a farm dog, has ample power with good economy.

Willi Willi's previous history as I know it: Previous owner bought her in Central QLD, where she likely spent her early years in the Whitsundays. Sailed her home to Tassie. Did significant upgrades, including repowering, replaced rigging, new sails and repaired osmosis and painted hull. He sailed her extensively including numerous trips between Tas and QLD and circumnavigated Tassie.

Currently located at St Helens, we aare crusing our way down the East Coast with intention finish in Kettering early May.
