ALAN PAYNE CUSTOM DESIGNED CENTREBOARD YACHT

This beautifully handcrafted custom Alan Payne designed steel yacht is constructed for ocean sailing, built for the French Canals with a centreboard, and has completed a circumnavigation.

Timshel has recently ungone the following maintenance on the 19 Jul 2024: Antifoul, paint work touchups, engine overhaul and service (see video).

Launched: 1980
Length: 47ft 10in
Beam: 14ft 10in
Draft: 4.6ft and with centreboard down 8.6ft
Engine: 37hp Yanmar 3TE, manual transmission - most recent overhaul and service completed 23 July 2024.
Gearbox: 3:1 reduction, throwing a 28 inch x 19 inch propeller, engine hours 6655.6
Cabins: main cabin (double bed) and forepeak - singles in a v shape (which could be converted into a double). Dinette can be made into a double bed and the settee can be made into a 3/4 berth. So can sleep up to 8 people.
Rig: Yawl
Electrics: Furuno radar, GPS, depth sounder
Batteries: Batteries charged by solar panels and can be charged while sailing with an alternator connected to the propeller shaft.
Sails: Has full set of sails - main, mizzen, jibs and storm jibs as well as spinnaker. Some sails are new.
Additional Equipment: She has many more items on board which will be going with her. Lines, fenders, tender, outboard, anchors, chain, spinnaker poles, and the list goes on.

She is on the Australian Register of Ships, and currently holds Qld registration.
