Description: Alan Payne Tasman SeaBird Masthead Cutter (Engine Replaced 2018)
Ruffanuff is a customised version of the famous Alan Payne designed Tasman Seabird. It was purpose built for fast and safe cruising. She has completed numerous sea voyages, is a proven ocean going vessel and has been maintained to a high standard.
The round bilge hull was constructed and faired by the highly skilled Jack Hoffland. All steel was shot blasted and painted with two coats of red lead, two coats of hi build primer, and then finished with one coat of two pack Urethane applied to both sides of the plate by Gardner Bros & Perrot prior to construction. No filler was used. Deck and hull fittings were drilled, tapped, fitted and then removed before repainting and then re-fitted.
Ruufanuff features a large engine room with a fully reconditioned diesel engine (2018), auxillary engine driving a 240v generator and refrigeration system, engine driven bilge/deck wash pumps and the hydraulic system.
All systems on the boat are very robust as she was built to withstand extreme conditions.
The Interior is finished in teak, with 6'2" (1.98m) of headroom throughout.
