The Arends 33 was built for short-handed sailing around Australia or internationally incorporating a shallow draft long keel and is particularly well suited to transiting the many bars and bays that dot the coast.
The Arends is a very solid seaboat originally designed by Swanson for shipwright John Arends as his personal boat so popular was the design John was urged to make moulds and in total 51 were built.
The interior layout is spacious even by modern standards with an amazing amount of storage with substantial beam carried both forward and aft plus a long waterline
Tamarillo would be arguably one of the best maintained and improved examples having a 40hp 4 cylinder volvo fitted with service history from new.
