Beneteau 42cc

This is a unique yacht, rarely seen in Australia. The Oceanis 42 Centre Cockpit yacht is an ideal dedicated cruising yacht. It is one that is well known in European and US waters, but rarely available here and well within the same league as their more expensive centre cockpit contemporaries. A report from "Yacht and Boat" in Europe wrote "The overall impression is that it is a clever boat, which provides a very civilised environment in which to live. It is big boat, more like a 48 footer and you could happily live aboard for long periods of time"
Albatross presents a unique opportunity to purchase a pedigree yacht which has been very well maintained and updated by the current owners so that she presents like new.
It has a furling mainsail, and furling mast head staysail, which does not require the use of running backstays. It is also much larger and therefore much more useful than a standard staysail. With the genoa, full main and the staysail set this really gets the boat moving off the wind. And with all 3 sails being roller reefing it makes for easier handling.
All lines lead aft to behind the hard dodger inside the cockpit, where the Raymarine autopilot, and Raymarine Chartplotter are located so that everything is at your fingertips.
At anchor or in port the large and very comfortable cockpit becomes an extra living space thanks to the fully enclosed sunshade covers.
What really sets centre cockpit yachts apart from the rest, is the rear master stateroom. Albatross' stateroom is a true queen size bed with custom made completely reversible split matresses, making for easy airing of the bedding and preventing any mould building up. Extra to this, the master cabin has an ensuite, with a stand alone shower and plenty of cupboard space.
This Oceanis 42 Centre Cockpit yacht is an ideal dedicated cruising yacht. The large comfortable and protected centre cockpit is perfect for offshore sailing and at anchor is adjacent to the roomy aft deck.
The classic reverse counter stern allows for more deck space and incorporates a very stylish fold down boarding platform, which provides easy access to a tender when lowered from the davits.
Albatross is set up to be easily handled by a couple or singlehanded. The masthead cutter rig has all three sails furling for ease of handling, backed up by the 54Hp Yanmar diesel.
If you are looking for a yacht you can spend a great deal of time on or as a live-aboard; one that is easliy sailed by a couple and is capable of crossing oceans, then you need look no further than Albatross.
