The original mast has been stripped and repainted, with new standing rigging fitted in late 2025. Combined with a deep fin keel, retractable carbon bowsprit and a versatile sail wardrobe including J2 and J3 headsails, asymmetric reacher and symmetric AP spinnaker, Swallow offers an impressive performance package. Six manual Harken winches support efficient sail handling, while her distinctive pivoting steering wheel adds further versatility at the helm.

Power is provided by a Yanmar 29hp diesel with saildrive and folding propeller, showing approximately 689 hours. Her inventory records a cruising speed of approximately 6-7 knots and a maximum speed under power of around 7-8 knots.

Navigation equipment includes a Raymarine A70 chartplotter, P70 autopilot with integrated gyrocompass, AIS 650, VHF and Airmar triducer, while the wired Raymarine Smart Wind system was renewed in September 2025. Fusion audio with speakers in both the saloon and cockpit provides entertainment aboard.

Below deck, she retains the practical cruising comfort that makes the First 35 such a versatile racer/cruiser. Accommodation includes two cabins, one head and an L-shaped galley, with two double berths plus additional saloon berths. The galley features a 100-litre refrigerator, ENO two-burner stove and oven, and stainless-steel sink, providing everything required for comfortable family weekends aboard.
