When released, it captured the world sailing community with its sailing performance and comfort, even establishing a First 36.7 One-design association in the USA.

This First 36.7 has been in Sydney since new and has had ongoing maintenance and upgrades, recently having new standing rigging installed in January 2023. A good suite of sails are fitted for cruising and a set of carbon race sails are in storage. This First 36.7 can be easily sailed short-handed with roller furling headsail and main sail bag and lazy jacks. A spinnaker pole is onboard for spinnaker sailing. Recently installed Garmin wind, speed and depth instruments have been fitted.

The interior layout is 3 cabins, which sleeps 6 adults. A head and shower is forwards. The saloon has a central folding dining table and an L-shaped aft galley with a fridge and gas stove. The First 36.7 offers great comfort for extended cruising holidays and weekends away.
