Impressive sailing performance, and build quality. These are a sought after model.
Manufactured before the ''plastic boat '' era. Solid fibreglass hull, with foam cored deck for weight reduction and strength.
They have an excellent reputation for blue water ability.
Since I have owned Te Mana, I have met people whom have seen her in Rarotonga, Vanuatu and Indonesia. So she has the runs on the board already.
There were 430 of these boats built and have been used for cruising, weekending, Bluewater and very comfortable live aboard.
Easily managed by a novice sailor, as all lines lead to the cockpit for safe passage making. Also have a great turn of speed when required to delight the experienced sailor as well.
Te Mana is an excellent example of the Oceanis 400, and has been lovingly cared for by all of her owners. She has some great updates and features like, new rigging in 2021, very low hour engine in awesome condition (1008hrs), cutlass bearing recently replaced, 300w of solar with Victron controller and batteries. She has a large Katadyn water maker, I think 40lph, but will need recommissioning. Davits etc. Furling headsails, with the addition of a staysail many years ago. Staysail is our most loved sail, it really helps her getting a head of steam up.
There is a lot of natural light down below. Inline galley with new force 10 stove.
Built in fridge works a treat. What really settled the deal for us when purchasing Te Mana was the Pullman berth in the master stateroom, along with the ensuite. There is nothing like sleeping in a square bed when aboard. Neatly upholstered settee, chart table, and loads of storage.
Another stand out feature is the floor. Recently refurbished and presents as new. It really is beautiful !!
The cockpit is protected by a spray dodger in good condition, and a Bimini which requires some small attention. All running rigging is in good condition, winches are solid and work well. Very simple boat to sail. Wide side decks for your safety and ease of moving around deck. Electric windlass, 60m of chain and a Rocna anchor.
She comes with a brand new Sirocco inflatable tender and 5hp Tohatsu outboard. Surprisingly it will plane with two people aboard !!!!!!!
The engine is a 2012 Volvo D2_55 with just over 1000hrs. Serviced 10 hours ago, photos don't show this. Set up with two alternators for house battery charging, dedicated engine battery (new) and dedicated windlass battery.
Te Mana presents in beautiful condition and is currently berthed in the Breakwater Marina Townsville. With cruising season here it's ideally located to enjoy the reef without the long sail up here. She has just completed a trip from Hobart to Townsville with zero issues, and she's ready to head off again.
Please note. We live 3 hours travel from Townsville, so please only genuine enquiries. Very happy to show cashed up interested buyers. Not so happy to deal with time wasters as this is what happened last time I sold a vessel ?
