
The Beneteau Oceanis 440 is designed by Naval Designer Bruce Farr and built in the USA at the Marion, South Carolina yard, delivering the 2 cabin owners version, quality construction, superior gelcoat, and in mast furling. The 440 was designed for maximum performance with minimal effort. Her bulb keel with winglets gives her optimum lift and stability plus all the benefits of a shoal draft. The bespoke standout feature has to be the engineered davits with a load capacity of 600kg operated from the cockpits electric winch. The davits are tailored from Stainless Steel, they are sturdy, robust and designed to lift the tender high enough from following seas, along with allowing full vision aft and not interrupting the transom walk-through capability.
The generous cockpit showcases a 6'4" headroom extended bimini attached to a full spray dodger and detachable side covers. Along with bountiful deep lockers, teak topped seating, a winged table and BBQ. At the helm you will find a 2021 Raymarine plotter, depth sounder, wind log, engine gauges and the Auto-Helm.
Stepping through the companionway, the interior is the two-cabin, two-head owners version. The warm rose tone makes her homely with solid teak trim finishes. The large saloon is the focal point, with high ceilings, a starboard table, and settees. Good cross ventilation is ensured by multiple deck hatches and coach-roof portholes. The well-laid-out L shaped galley to starboard is practical with everything in easy reach for when underway. It contains a deep double stainless steel sink, a large fridge and separate front door opening freezer and a Force 10 gas stove. There's lots of large lockers throughout including a slide out pantry cupboard and a purpose built 18 wine bottle cellar locker. The forward master cabin has a island king berth, private en-suite and, abundant storage in multiple lockers. The Port aft guest cabin is ample with a queen bunk and consists of a 2 way saloon head/en-suite door that opens to saloon and separate door opens to the cabin.
The vessel is powered by a Yanmar 72hp engine, serviced regularly. She is freshly back in the water from her yard time in June 2025 where she was antifouled and surveyed (that can be made available to the buyer). There are numerous and extensive extras, spares, sailing and cruising equipment, manuals & logs, The age and condition of gear, including warranties on new equipment etc will be listed upon buyers inspection.
