Bob Sawner 32ft Gaff Rigged Sailing Yacht

Bob Sawner 1926 Gaff rigged Sailing Yacht. Rebuild completed 2012 with new Nanni 30hp marine diesel fitted 2018. The mainsail, Genoa and staysail are in as new condition.
The hull is constructed from 1'' planked Jarrah with new Spotted Gum frames and stringers, Deck beams are 75mm x 50mm Spotted gum. The hull and deck fastenings are all copper bolts and silicon bronze screws, the accommodation is in two Quarter berths plus the saloon. The Galley has twin sinks with a Bronze manual fresh water pump and a two burner cooktop with a top load fridge / freezer. The 8mm Stainless Steel rigging was replaced 5 years ago. The interior finish is to a very high standard with high gloss varnish applied to the solid timber fitout. " Southern Cross" is a very attractive sailing yacht from a bygone era. The asking price has just been adjusted on the yacht to assist in finding her a new owner. As per the shipwright / surveyor report to rebuild this yacht today to this standard would cost approximately 500k.
