A genuinely proven offshore cruiser/racer design that has subsequently been set up and used as a comfortable family cruising boat.

Classic 1970s cutter rigged centre cockpit offshore racer/cruiser solidly built in GRP with encapsulated keel and skeg-hung rudder for increased safety and strength. In her younger days she competed in several Sydney to Hobarts and more recently has sailed the NSW/Queensland coast, proving to be a comfortable family cruiser and liveaboard. Her long-term owners have now retired to an inland property and Gidgee is ready for her next adventure.

Well set up for cruising or bluewater sailing with fridge, solar, wind generator, ample battery, water and diesel storage, autopilot (and importantly, aft-deck bbq) and Australian registration allowing overseas travel. Comfortably sleeps four (or six with the convertible dining/double-berth) with a double/twin cabin forward and another double/twin aft. Spacious living area and generous storage including a mancave!

Includes a full sail suite; main, headsail, staysail, spinnaker (and even a blooper). All lines (including reefing lines) lead to the cockpit allowing for easy solo handling. Volvo Penta engine in near-new condition with only 840 hours.

Brand new Muir Storm 2200 windlass and new 40m 10mm galvanised anchor chain.

Some recent cosmetic neglect requires a little TLC to have her turning heads again.

Queensland registration paid until September 2027.
